Instructions
- One of the most important things in making perfectly crispy tofu is selecting the best tofu for the job. You want to buy the firmest tofu you can get. Aim for extra firm! If you have a tofu press, now is the time to press that tofu for 10 mins! If you don't, no worried, just squeeze the liquid out of the block when you remove it from the package.
- Preheat oven to 375F
- Cube tofu into bite-sized pieces and place into a bowl.
- Mix sauce ingredients. Pour over the tofu and leave to marinade for 10 mins.
- Cover baking sheet with a sheet of baking paper. Arrange on a tray, leaving space between each cube.
- Place tray in the oven. After 15 mins flip the tofu cubes. Check again after 15 mins for doneness. The cubes will just get crispier the longer you leave 'em in, so you decide on the level of browning you are looking for. I left mine in about 30 mins.
- Now look at those cubes! Aren't they pretty?? Give one a try. Delish, right?
Recipe Notes
If you are concerned about GMOs, just buy a tofu that is marked GMO-free on the label, or buy organic. All organic tofu is GMO-free.
